BATTLE OF THE BANDS!

The road to Wildflower! leads through The Door

Once again, two great local music venues team up to host a Battle of the Bands competition!

The award-winning Wildflower! Arts & Music Festival, North Texas' biggest music gig, and The Door, North Texas' premier all-ages club that showcases national talent as well as local acts, present the fifth annual Battle of the Bands competition with the four finalists playing on the metroPCS stage at Wildflower!, Saturday, May 15.

In April The Door will host three qualifier rounds at their following DFW locations:

Band Requirements:

• Bands must be predominately made up of current high school students, but some members may have graduated.
  At least half of the members must be current high school students in grades 9-12.
  

  3 member band = 2 of high school age
  4 member band = 2 of high school age
  5 member band = 3 high school age
  Etc.
  

• There must be at least three (3) members in every band;
• Each band must perform at least one (1) original song and one (1) cover song;
• Each band selected will be allowed to play one 20-minute set on the metroPCS Stage at Wildflower!, which is the same stage as our major acts!

Winning band will be determined by:

• Crowd noise and crowd enthusiasm
• Talent as determined by our panel of judges and musicians
• Ability to play cover songs and at least one (1) original song in their 20 minute set.

Producer reserves the right to approve song choices.
